Optimising your nutrition and lifestyle can give you the best chance of a successful pregnancy, even if you've been told that IVF is the only option

Maybe you've had no definitive answers for why you’re not falling pregnant but you're not ready to give up hope just yet.

Maybe you're considering IVF or actively preparing for IVF and want to increase your chances of success.

Maybe you've heard that supporting preconception health is important but you've no idea where to start or what it looks like.

When you think you’ve already tried everything to fall pregnant, your nutrition and lifestyle could be the missing pieces of the puzzle that haven’t fallen into place yet.

Your nutrition and lifestyle can play a key role in creating an optimal environment for conception to take place and help to support a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Your current food and lifestyle choices can also work against you too.

You may have nutrient deficiencies that are affecting your chances of success, even if you're eating well (and your blood tests are ‘normal’).

You may be consuming suboptimal levels of protein, carbohydrates and fats, which can impact hormonal and reproductive health.

Both of these are common and can be easily addressed through nutrition changes to lay the best possible foundations for conception and a healthy pregnancy.

Poor sleep, chronic stress and exposure to toxins are just a few of the modern lifestyle factors that can affect egg and sperm quality, hormonal balance, ovulation, implantation and early miscarriage..

You may be doing a lot ‘right’ with your nutrition and lifestyle but you may have some knowledge gaps that are affecting your chances of a successful pregnancy.

As a Fertility Dietitian and certified Women's Health Dietitian, Naomi helps her clients to plug these knowledge gaps and harness the power of nutrition and lifestyle to support the mind and body for conception and pregnancy.

GET TO KNOW ME BETTER

"When you are doing a fertility treatment you feel sometimes powerless, as if it is a process that goes on in a sphere that is completely out of your own control. That's partially true but not completely: for example, the way you eat has a huge influence on your hormonal balance, which in turns influences fertility. Nobody told me this, until I met Naomi. It opened a whole world. She taught me how to eat to create an ideal environment for a hormonal balance. And of course that is not everything, but at least it makes you able to control a small bit of the bigger process. I discovered Naomi only far down the road of fertility treatment, but I wish I had met her long before!"

IVF & Fertility Support

As a fertility dietitian, Naomi helps her clients to optimise their health through nutrition and lifestyle, most commonly while preparing for IVF treatment, and to increase the chances of falling pregnant naturally.

IVF support
If you're preparing for IVF treatment, we can work together across all stages of your IVF journey from the preparation phase through to the implantation stage to improve overall health and increase your chances of success and reduce the risk of miscarriage.

Preconception
Before the IVF cycle begins, we can focus on optimising hormone balance and nourishing the body to support egg and sperm quality, endometrium thickness and implantation.

Stimulation and Egg Collection
Before this stage of the IVF cycle, we can support the development of healthy egg cells and the womb lining.

Embryo Transfer and Implantation
Prior to this stage, we can support the body in preparation for embryo transfer and improve blood flow and circulation to support implantation.

The Two Week Wait

This stage may feel out of your control but there's still lots we can do to support implantation and prepare the body for pregnancy.

Naomi can help you to remove the stress of wondering whether you're making the right nutrition and lifestyle choices and know how to support each stage of the IVF cycle.

Natural pregnancy support
If you're still hoping for a natural pregnancy, we can use nutrition and lifestyle to directly influence the menstrual cycle and egg and sperm quality.

Women's Health

As a women’s health dietitian, Naomi helps her clients to balance their hormones, regulate the menstrual cycle and manage pre-existing health issues such as PCOS and endometriosis.

Naomi can support you to:

  • Experience regular and less painful periods as a result of balanced hormones

  • Take control of your reproductive and hormonal health through the reproductive years, including during perimenopause and menopause

  • Use nutrition and lifestyle to help you move through the challenges that may crop up during these life stages so you can experience fewer debilitating symptoms and live your best life

  • Manage a new or existing diagnosis with targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes

  • Use nutrition and lifestyle to support a healthy pregnancy, manage conditions of pregnancy (including gestational diabetes) and optimise post-partum nutrition

Your nutrition and lifestyle could be the missing pieces of the puzzle for a successful pregnancy and better overall health
